µMIDI – Intellijel
USB/DIN MIDI Voice and Clock Interface
All the essentials to control and sync your Eurorack modular from your computer, iPhone/iPad, or hardware MIDI device. No menu diving or configuration scripts, just two buttons. Get crazy with external modulation and sequencers, or just sync your rack’s clock from the rest of your MIDI bus.
The µMIDI provides all the essentials to control and sync your Eurorack modular from your computer, iPhone/iPad, or hardware MIDI device with a minimum of fuss. No menu diving or configuration scripts, just two buttons. The connectivity, features, and compact size allows the integration of your modular system with the rest of your studio while not taking up too much space in your case.
The upper clock section features a dedicated 16th note clock output ideal for synchronizing a Eurorack sequencer like the Metropolis. A second clock output with selectable divisions can be used when different sync events are needed. The run and reset outputs can be used to reset your Eurorack sequencers in tandem with any external sequencer or DAW.
The lower half of the µMIDI gives you everything you need to control a single-voice synth via MIDI. Just connect either a USB or DIN MIDI cable to the module, LEARN a channel, and start playing.
As of firmware revision 1.11 the µMIDI supports configuration of some internal parameters via a browser-based configuration utility. Currently the utility is only compatible with Google Chrome.
High speed ARM processor for low latency & jitter.
DIN or USB MIDI input.
Two clock outputs, one with selectable divisions.
Sequencer sync via run and reset outputs.
Precision 0 – 10 V note pitch output with pitch bend & portamento CC support.
Gate and trigger outputs for envelope triggering.
Mod wheel and continuous controller outputs for additional modulation.
Record everything. You never know when you’re going to hit that groove and when you do you’ll be glad you captured it. Eurorack signals are really hot, tame them down to line level for your mixer, amp, or recorder. Monitor your patch thought the low noise headphone amp.
TEMPI is a 6 CHannel, polyphonic time-shifting clock module. It provides an intuitive method for creation and recall of complex clocking arrangements within a modular synthesizer system. Using HUMAN and/ or MACHINE programming you could re-create most classic Clock Divider and Multiplier arrangements and then continue on to create new ones. Store up to 64 for later recall and Select them using control signals from within your system or the Select Bus.
The Erbe-Verb is more than a collection of reverb algorithms or presets, it is a unique, modeless, continuously variable reverb algorithm with complete voltage control. Typical reverb types such as plate, room, hall, shimmer and others may be programmed by adjusting the knobs. The continuously variable algorithm allows for hybrid and unreal spaces to be found. Traveling between spaces is possible by modulating the algorithm or manually sweeping parameters. More than an end-of-chain effects unit, it’s a whole new building block for modular synthesis. Like the Echophon, it’s coded by Tom Erbe of soundhack.
The Malekko 8NU8R is a clever utility. A dual 4hp attenuator, the 8NU8R also sports the ability to switch on diode rectification waveshaping. Regular attenuation, as well as full and half wave rectification with adjustable attenuation, are possible. When no input is present, each half of the 8NU8R produces a steady DC voltage (offset) adjustable by the level control. DC offsets have many uses in a modular system.
