Erica Synths DIY Modulator is 35mm deep, skiff friendly, has solid mechanical construction and doesn’t require wiring.
The Modulator essentially is LFO with simultaneous triangle and square wave outputs, clockable S&H with external CV input and noise source. A kit comes with two versions of noise generator – simple, transistor-based and more complex Zener diode-based one. Latest provides perfect, full spectrum white noise.

The circuit is based in part on the Roland SH-101 / System100m design with several enhancements.

Dynamic control of the envelope output level (each ADSR is routed through a linear VCA and the control is normalled to +5V via the LEVEL jack. You can patch another control source like an LFO or VELOCITY level from a keyboard to this jack.
The most complex modulator is you. The Planar 2 puts macro control over six outputs—including a quad panning mixer—into your hands with a buttery smooth joystick. Record up to 30 seconds of your own movements, stretch it or mangle it with scan mode, use a trigger for playback, or just loop it—synced or not. Add yourself to your patch.
The SWAMP is a random CV and audio generator inspired by the famous Wiard Wogglebug module; it’s often the heart of self-generating patches and brings controllable randomness to your modular system.
In the SWAMP module we introduced numerous modifications and improvements to extend potentiometer range, added an audio input, which, when connected, replaces the internal Tone oscillator, replaced the expensive dual vactrol, built S&H circuit around the made in Riga S&H IC AS1100CK2, added audio waveform selection switches, CV output configuration jumpers and much more.
